      •  Can you people even afford real Versace? probably not… i think it’s a wonderful idea for big brands to collaborate with H&M not only will middle class can afford these, but even the people who can own Versace full price… i think this collection is very true to what Gianni left and what Donatella keeps doing and i have to disagree with Tayma I think Gianni would probably do this even if he was alive (fisically) and why not? other big brand are doing it as well you people are just HATE’Rz!!

        • First of all, this collection is inspired by VINTAGE Versace. Whether the people who are against the collaboration can afford authentic, mainline, MODERN Versace is totally irrelevant. VINTAGE Versace is not very difficult to find, if you know where to look (yes, I do own some). Thank you for pointing out that Versace for H&M is not real Versace. The collection is true to what Gianni left because he was the founder of Versace, and this collection is inspired by the age when he would bethe one designing it. If you had read my below comments you would know I think it’s good for those who cannot afford mainline Versace. Hope this helps.

P.S. Sorry for my capitalisation, I’m just using it instead of italics.

          • By the way, I meant that vintage Versace is not difficult to find at an affordable/reasonable price if you know where to look.

  1. I hate when everyone says that current Versace isn’t Versace
Donatella’s Versace is what i think Gianni would go with his brand
even when you say that if he still alive this collab would nevere occured i think the other way
in a globalized world even Gianni would have to do this to keep himself update and trendy
Lanvin did it, Karl Lagerfeld did it and other exclusive brand did it !

    • I just don’t see why Versace for H&M needed to happen. I mean, sure, it’s great for those who already shop at H&M and would like to have one of their articles of H&M clothing designed by Donatella and branded with Versace, but the clothes are of the same quality craftsmanship and fabrications as H&M, not Versace. The DESIGNS of the clothes are fantastic, but the mass production will lead to many, many people wearing them. Why must every high-end label hop on the bandwagon and design clothing for low-mid range companies? The collection is ‘inspired’ by the exuberance and exclusivity of original vintage Versace pieces, but once you examine the clothing and compare it to something basic from H&M you will see ‘inspired’ is the best word to use.

      • Adding to this, I don’t see it as a high-end collection and dislike how it is being advertised that way. For me, the $200 dresses give it away instantly.

      • Has it ever occured to you that not everyone can afford to spend $5000 on a branded dress and having a Versace x H&M is the closest thing they can have to something Versace? You guys aren’t Donatella or members of the Versace team, i’m sure they know what they’re doing.

        • Of course it has occurred to me. Read my comment below. I’m just trying to highlight the fact that the pieces are only designed by Versace, and the manufacture is done by H&M – this is obvious without being Donatella or members of the Versace team. I am well aware of the comments you are making and I agree with them, and if you had read all of my comments you would understand this.

  2. Sorry if I’ve been sounding like a snob with my comments. I admire Donatella for making Versace appeal to a less affluent group of people, and giving them access to Versace designs at a lower cost. But personally I like my clothing well made and the clothes on offer from this collection are manufactured the same way as non-collab pieces from the main H&M line, and I will not be buying them, as I would not buy clothing from H&M.

  3. Reality is, it is an affordable opportunity to get Gianni Versace style prints. This is for the lowerclass fashionistas of the world, and Gianni may have not let it happen, however Donatella runs it now and i will never question her. Its the ‘VERY BEST OF VERSACE for h&m” not “VERSACE FOR H&M WITH THE LUXURIOUS SILKS THAT THE USUAL VERSACE WOULD INCORPORATE IN THEIR PRODUCTS”.
    Just saying,
I may not have anything new to share, but i still want to let people know what i think.

  4. I loooove Versace and I also love H&M but I don’t think that H&M and Versace are a good match. I can’t afford Versace and it was like ‘a dream dress’ for me but if everybody can buy it from H&M it ruins my dream…I hate when everybody has the same clothes. It’s not special anymore,at least the H&M collection. I’d rather not have it because I can’t afford it than seeing everybody wearing Versace.
