Year in Review | Melodie Monrose: Instant Star 2010

Yet another break out star of this year was Melodie Monrose (d’management group and Wilhelmina Models). The Martinique beauty may be shy but she has dominated the catwalk for the spring 2011 season with a combination of 49 shows. Fashion Gone Rogue was able to ask her about the most memorable job of the year, and her response revealed an upcoming editorial for Vogue Italia: “I would have to say my favorite job as of right now was shooting for Italian Vogue with Emma Summerton and Edward Enninful. Doing a Vogue shoot is every models goal and to do it after only 4 months was completely unbelievable!

THE INTRODUCTION: Steven Chu first shot the Caribbean beauty back in the summer and it was stardom at first sight!

NEW YORK BEAUTY: Melodie made her runway debut this season and walked twenty-one shows in New York including Marc Jacobs, Max Azria and DKNY

YSL AND ON: Melodie also walked a combined 28 shows for Paris and Milan. Here she is at Yves Saint Laurent in a tan frock.

THE FACE: After a successful runway season, Melodie was picked as one of’s top ten new faces for the spring 2011 season–a title well deserved

EDITORIAL DEBUT: Melodie hit the editorial stage with Solve Sundsbo’s risque shoot for Interview. Starring alongside Anais Mali, Melodie was on fire while wearing new spring collections

DAZED OUT: Hugh Lippe photographed Melodie in Inside Out for the December issue of Dazed & Confused. Did we mention you can see her in motion too?
