Continuing with our Year in Review, we now take a look at the fall 2010 campaigns. One major trend of the fall was groups–from Versace to Louis Vuitton, pairs and quartets were all the rage. Another trend of the fall season was minimalism. Many labels went with simple studio shoots or stark black and white photos from photography greats such as Mario Testino and Mert & Marcus. In the battle of spring versus fall, which season won out?
INTO THE RED: Balenciaga had a fashionable colony on Mars for its fall advertisements. Photographed by Steven Meisel a mix of veteran and newer models made this campaign almost unforgettable!
FOR THE GIRLS: Miu Miu’s campaign once again starred spring’s star, Lindsey Wixson. This time she was joined by Siri Tollerod, Daphne G and Ginta Lapina for a colorful series photographed by Mert & Marcus
NUDE VALENTINO: Speaking of Freja, the Danish beauty also starred in the fall Valentino campaign where she spent half the time nude and the other half clothed, photo by David Sims
