Unique’s Egyptian SpringTopshop Unique takes a trip to Ancient Egypt for its spring 2012 collection shown during London Fashion Week. Featuring hieroglyphic prints, gold accents and bandage dresses, the Unique girl stands out from the crowd in gold leaf hair and mid-drift baring tops. The showing also included t-shirts with the late Elizabeth Taylor as Cleopatra and scarab beetle prints paired with pyramid-shaped bags for a cheeky interpretation of the stylish theme.

  1. I love it. I doubt you’d see any ‘chav’ in these clothes, all they’ve heard of is addidas and nike. Love the whole egyptian theme, creative collection 🙂

  2. Its worked to heavily with metallic gold and the Egyptian inspiration – we get it it doesn’t necessarily have to be in every single piece. While it’s meant to be Topshop’s luxury collection, i think it comes across as quite cheap and tacky. The only great piece in the collection for me is the coral strapless dress with the gold bust detail.
