Posen’s Dreamy Spring – Zac Posen was in a romantic mood for his spring 2014 collection inspired by impressionist artwork. Dresses embraced femininity with bouncy ruffles and pleating in satin and silk. Shape alternated between demure silhouettes which moved away from the body and more sireny looks complete with corsets and draping around the bodice. The flowers which adorned the models’ hair solidify that this upcoming spring is all about sweetness and light for the Posen woman.
Posen’s Eastern Fall – For fall 2012, Zac Posen transformed his signature evening wear looks into something a bit more Eastern inspired with models wearing high chignons and novel prints. Dramatic fishtail and mermaid silhouettes dominated the runway detailed with kimono-like belts. Shoulders held a strong shape, showcasing big, powerful folds of origami influence. Styled in bright red lips, look-at-me jewelry and fur coats; the Posen woman is certainly someone who will make an entrance for autumn.
Posen’s Return to New York – After two seasons of showing in Paris, Zac Posen returned to New York Fashion Week to showcase an elegant collection of evening wear and feminine mystique. With dramatic shapes of tulle, silk and satin; Posen looked back to red carpet form with a showing of Old Hollywood style complete with models donning pulled back waves and lush accessories.
After his debut at Paris Fashion Week last season was met with less than stellar reviews, Zac Posen unsurprisingly toned down the camp for fall 2011. The results gave way to a more finely edited and contemporary aesthetic which while not groundbreaking, offered a more sharper look at day wear and evening looks. Highlights included form-fitting black dresses straight out of a film noir, Posen’s signature gown work with simplified yet sexy silhouettes and an all star cast of models including Carmen Kass, Coco Rocha and Crystal Renn.
Zac Posen gets a bevy of dark haired beauties to sport his pre-fall 2011 collection. Worn by Hilary Rhoda, Ruby Aldridge and others, the pre-fall line features skin-tight silhouettes, dynamic patterns and luxurious jackets for the perfect fall cover-up.
Making his debut at Paris Fashion Week, Zac Posen finds inspiration in couture and Parisian fashion of the past for his spring 2011 collection. Featuring an abundance of feathers, deep red and orange hues, and body hugging silhouettes, the change of venue ushers in a Posen woman with a flair for the dramatic.
