Sky Fall – Saint Laurent creative director Hedi Slimane taps Sky Ferreira for the brand’s pre-fall 2013 style book. Photographed in Slimane’s signature black and white style, Sky works it in form-fitting leather and lace fashions. The color palette reflects the images–juxtaposing sultry black with white and silver detailing such as luxe furs and metal studs.
Bohemian Beauty – For “part two” of Saint Laurent’s spring-summer 2013 campaign (see part one here), creative director Hedi Slimane taps British face Edie Campbell for a series of black and white images. As with the first edition, the photographs are dark and intriguing with Edie posing in mostly detail-orientated shots showcasing the workmanship of the latest season.
Black Magic Woman – Julia Nobis has an air of intrigue in Saint Laurent’s spring 2013 campaign, lensed by the brand’s creative director Hedi Slimane. The Australian beauty poses in black and white images wearing boyish silhouettes paired with oversized hats, capes and sequined embellishments.
Leader of the Pack – Musician and designer Gwen Stefani graces the January issue of Vogue US wearing a look from Saint Laurent by Hedi Slimane’s spring 2013 collection. Annie Leibovitz photographs the blonde with styling by fashion editor Tonne Goodman. Inside the magazine, Gwen opens up about how she stays on top of the music game at 43-years-old. The January issue of Vogue hits newsstands on December 25th.

The Manifesto – Actress Jessica Chastain nabs her first major fashion campaign with Yves Saint Laurent’s Manifesto fragrance advertisement. Mert & Marcus captured the redhead beauty with purple-painted hands, somewhat evoking the fragrance’s tagline, “Daring is an art”.
Dark Glamour – Karlie Kloss is seductive in a dress from Yves Saint Laurent’s fall 2012 collection on the September cover of Vogue Japan.
YSL’s Big Name Change – New creative director of Yves Saint Laurent, Hedi Slimane, plans to revamp the brand and take it in a more modern direction. First ahead is a major name change. Yves Saint Laurent will now be rebranded as Saint Laurent Paris, according to WWD. The iconic YSL logo will still be used for shoes, campaigns and makeup cases though. The name switch will officially be in effect once Slimane’s spring 2013 collection hits stores. (WWD)
