The Glam in Couture – Atelier Versace’s fall 2012 haute couture collection kept it glam with a showing of sexy and sophisticated dresses featuring tropical hues and beaded gowns. Models hit the runway in high slits, silk chiffons and metallic accents for the ultra-feminine outing. Body-hugging silhouettes gave way to mid-length trench coats matched with oversize belts. Sheer work and revealing cutouts complete the glamazon designs for autumn.
Atelier Gems – Versace revealed via press that they will be launching the inaugural collection of Atelier Versace Jewelry. Versace First – Versace starts off the fall campaign season with a bang, showcasing a gothic chic series of advertisements starring Dutch new face Elza Luijendijk who enters the ranks of previous faces including Gisele Bundchen, Abbey Lee Kershaw and Saskia de Brauw. Once again lensed by photography duo Mert & Marcus, the Italian fashion house chooses male models Philipp Schmidt, Dmitriy Tanner and Kacey Carrig (unpictured) for its menswear campaign. Joe McKenna styled Elza while David Bradshaw outfitted the men in London. The gothic theme works well with the autumn’s collection religious iconography and dark color palette. (WWD & RCFA)

Versace’s Tough Glamour – Donatella Versace opted for a dark color palette with rock and roll undertones for Versace’s fall 2012 show presented during Milan Fashion Week. Sexy silhouettes, metal mesh and jewel encrusted Byzantine crosses dominated the runway as models donned short hemlines and fitted jackets for autumn. Embracing a dark edge, Versace matched form-fitting designs with leather gloves and severe hair. Adding to the glamazon looks were heeled boots made of more mesh that ended at the knee. The Versace logo was even incorporated on a few pieces in the form of bold, graphic lettering. For the finale, a gown of pure silver chains and metallic fabric hit the catwalk for an armored yet luxe end statement.

Spring also showcases a variety of lacework with sheer cutouts for a romantic touch. Beauty for the show included a high ponytail paired with a seductive smokey eye.
