Stylist Tom van Dorpe cleverly turns Constance Jablonski, Cora Emmanuel, Liu Wen, Catherine McNeil, Mirte Maas, Hanne Gaby Odiele, Bette Franke, Alana Zimmer, Kasia Struss, Marie Piovesan and Sam Rollinson into convincing sets of fashion forward twins. With creative direction by Jakob Hysén Hedberg, stylist Tom van Dorpe selects designs from the likes of Rick Owns, Theyskens’ Theory, Tiger of Sweden and Cheap Monday for the duo to wear in Kai Z Feng’s glossy studio images. Straight tresses by hair stylist Erika Svedjevik and understated makeup by Anya de Tobon complete the layered ensembles.
For Sport – Designer Richard Chai based his resort 2013 “Love” collection off the concept of a woman wearing Nike sneakers with stylish workout apparel. Modeled by Mackenzie Drazan, the transitional season transforms exercise staples such as the jogging suit, hoodie and shorts into high-end, street-wear apparel. The slouchy silhouettes come in a mix of neutrals and bright hues such as ivory, electric blue, army green and turquoise with grungy or color blocked patterns. No doubt, the Richard Chai woman aims to keep it casual and cool for the upcoming resort season. / Photos by Jason Kim, Styling by Tom van Dorpe
The Super Color – Peter Pilotto’s resort 2013 collection offers an explosion of colors with kaleidoscopic prints and patterns created digitally by designers Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos. Modeled by Ava Smith and Josephine Skriver, the silhouette of the transitional season is rigid with above the knee skirts matched with short or long-sleeve tops contrasting the chaotic patterns. The resort collection also offers pants and jumpsuits in bold, all over prints inspired by medieval illuminated manuscripts found in London’s Royal Library.
