Lanvin Resort – Lanvin creative director Alber Elbaz focused on looks for just about every occasion with the brand’s resort 2014 collection. With inspiration stemming from the Lanvin woman’s lifestyle, the transitional season offers a varied take on looks that go from day to night and in between. Resort sees a lot of embellishments covering rich jewel toned dresses or more girlish looks in the form of ballerina-inspired full tulle skirts. Adding to the adornment are rich brocades dipped in gold metallic hues. Elbaz also focuses on more understated dress with a few monochromatic looks evoking a cool minimal vibe.
Chloe Resort – When it comes to its resort 2014 collection, Chloe juxtaposes laid-back style with active sportswear and a Parisian elegance. Silhouettes are relaxed yet tailored with an emphasis on trousers and oversized outerwear. Prints for the season are mostly graphic stripes in black and white or pastel hues. A menswear inspiration can be found in not only the pants but also crisp popeline shirts. Still, the Chloe woman shows off her feminine side in layered t-shirt dresses and pleated skirts of the season.
BCBG Resort – For BCBG Max Azria’s resort 2014 collection, designer Lubov Azria was inspired by her trip to Coachella. The BCBG woman shows a more grown-up perspective of the music festival’s well-known bohemian style with a juxtaposition of flowy silhouettes and razor-cut sharp lines. A daytime color palette of bright whites and pastels transitions to sunset with black and grey hues. Prints are flowery with a futuristic monochrome effect while bags are saddle style.
Anna Sui Resort – Anna Sui’s resort 2014 collection prides itself on light and sweet style with an outing of bright floral and fruit prints. Silhouettes are 30s inspired, with hemlines reaching above the knee. The collection itself is broken into four different sections, but a strong bohemian influence runs throughout the entire season. A varied color palette of teal, cream, plum, jade and periwinkle offers a whimsical look at resort. In addition to to the collection’s many dresses, the Sui woman wears boyfriend and military jackets, cardigans, beach cover-ups and school blouses for the transitional season.
10 Crosby Resort – A continuation of the line’s fall collection, the resort 2014 outing from 10 Crosby Derek Lam places an emphasis on textured materials. The 10 Crosby woman dives into the season with a mix of tweed, houndstooth, knitwear and coated outerwear. The resort silhouette embraces a casual yet elegant vibe with a wardrobe of separates including sweat-pant style trousers and a re-envisioned sweatshirt. 10 Crosby also offers a twist on classic prints such as the polka dot or stripe motif.
Michael Kors Resort – Designer Michael Kors’ resort 2014 collection brings to mind the seventies with a Palm Springs inspired outing of animal prints, leisure trousers and cut-out swimsuits. A varied color palette of black, white, suntan and bold aqua comes in a color-blocking effect as well as dynamic prints. The retro influence gets a modern accent with lucite cuffs, sleek shoulder bags and visor-inspired sunglasses. The resort season is also grounded in seventies inspired tailoring as seen by the collection’s printed caftans and wide-legged trousers.
Donna Karan Resort – For her resort 2014 collection, designer Donna Karan focused on separate pieces that toe the line between business casual and beach outing. Tunics in fluid and bohemian shapes showed off a more relaxed side of the Donna Karan woman. Tailored blazers and jackets added structure to chiffon, asymmetrical hemmed skirts and dresses. Karan’s color palette focused on neutral hues such as white, black and tan with the occasional pop of red. Wearing the resort collections of Gucci, Versace Emilio Pucci, Oscar de la Renta and Stella McCartney amongst others; Sigrid enchants on the rocky coast wearing pastel and floral prints with a touch of Eastern elegance.

Giampaolo Sgura captures the blonde duo in a charming mix of bohemian prints, white lace and wide-legged pants against a rocky setting.
On the Rocks – Leading models Anne Vyalitsyna and Karolina Kurkova are tapped for Roberto Cavalli’s resort 2013 campaign, looking bronzed and glam in lace dresses. Giampaolo Sgura photographed the blonde duo in a mix of tuxedo cuts and feminine dresses.
