After an outfit, your hair is one of the most important things to think of when going out. In this new feature, FGR explores summer hair styles that inspire. While our last beauty feature highlighted models rocking short hair, we decided to pay homage to the updo today. When you think of wearing updos, you may think of a wedding or some other formal event, but a good bun or ponytail can be worn casually too. We picked three trendy updos that will make you stand out for summer.
Camper x Fujiwara – Collaborating with Japanese designer Dai Fujiwara (formerly of Giuliano Fujiwara), retailer Camper releases a new collection of bags and other accessories using knitwear. With a summertime release, the special line uses a paper technique to achieve the perfect tactile knitted bags. The line is named Mori after the Japanese word for forest, and the collection keeps true to its material origins which defines the range with 64% paper and 36% polyester. Made in Japan and available at select retailers, the Mori collection includes a small messenger bag, large messenger bag, backpack, tote, wallet and large wallet. The line is also available for purchase online from Camper.com.
Summer of Now – The recent film remake of “The Great Gatsby” by Baz Luhrmann has inspired quite a few fashion edits, but UK department store Harrods offers a unique take on the 1920s trend with its “Summer of Now” campaign. Turn of the twentieth century inspired apparel, accessories and beauty products from contemporary brands such as The Row, Victoria by Victoria Beckham and Alexander McQueen evoke the decadence and luxury of the 1920s. Harrods also features a behind the scenes look of its “Summer of Now” campaign featured under the cut.

The Model Denim – Victoria’s Secret Angel Karlie Kloss has collaborated with Frame Denim on a capsule collection of jeans made extra-long in the leg, with 40 inch in-seams. Inspired by the difficulty of finding pants that fit at her tall height of 5″11, the American beauty designed two styles–one flared and the other a skinny style.
