Katy & John’s New Music – Real life couple Katy Perry and John Mayer are set release a new song together called, “Who You Love”, from Mayer’s upcoming album. In these new promo shots for the single revealed on Vanity Fair, famed fashion photographer Mario Sorrenti shot the pair together in a series of striking black and white portraits. Perry also recently sat for Sorrenti in her November W Magazine cover shoot.
Katy Perry (In All Languages) – Singer Katy Perry is the November cover star of W Magazine, appearing sultry on two covers. Mario Sorrenti shot the “Roar” star in a series of retro-inspired images styled by Edward Enninful. Wearing the designs of Louis Vuitton, Ralph Lauren and Marc Jacobs amongst others; Katy wows in the sexy spread. Inside the magazine, Katy opens up about her first hit “I Kissed a Girl” saying, “It was a bit radical to sing about bisexuality, but it was a topic that was on the tip of everybody’s tongue. And even though it was ‘I kissed a girl, and I liked it, and that’s what I like to do sometimes,’ I sang it with a wink.”
Cozy Fall – Knitwear label Nic+Zoe taps Anja Rubik for its fall 2013 campaign, shot by Mario Sorrenti. The leading model looks seductively comfortable in the autumn season’s bohemian prints, floppy hats and cozy sweaters in the black and white snaps. Beauty is kept simple with tousled tresses and understated makeup.
Spell it Out – Rising star Ashleigh Good is the latest model to front Max Mara’s advertisements, appearing in the fall 2013 campaign from the Italian label. Mario Sorrenti snapped the New Zealand beauty in a set of images including oversized letters in the background. Carine Roitfeld styled the model in looks from the autumn season ranging from Max Mara’s signature outerwear to slouchy pajama pants.
Body by Calvin – After sharing the news in May, we have a look at the fall 2013 Calvin Klein Underwear campaign starring supermodel Christy Turlington. The American beauty was photographed by Mario Sorrenti in a set of black and white images that are as elegant as they are sensual. Can you believe that Christy shot her first Calvin Klein campaign in 1988? Twenty plus years later, and she remains as beautiful as ever!
Sand Stunner – Andreea Dianconu lands her first Vogue cover with the June-July edition of Vogue Paris. Wearing sand from the beach and nothing else, the dark-haired beauty poses for Mario Sorrenti in St. Barts for the striking image. The new issue of Vogue Paris hits stores on May 24th.
Modernism is the Message – Anja Rubik evokes a sleek modernism in the spring edition of T Magazine’s Travel issue. The Polish model stuns in front of Mario Sorrenti’s lens wearing bold silhouettes and color-blocking from labels such as Balenciaga, Versace and Stella McCartney styled by Jane How. A slicked back coif by hair stylist Recine and understated makeup by Hannah Murray complete the polished ensembles.
Denim Clad – Denim label Vigoss once again enlists a music talent for its spring 2013 campaign. Singer, songwriter, drummist and guitarist Florrie replaces Sky Ferreira as the face of the label’s latest advertisements lensed by Mario Sorrenti. Styled by Melanie Ward, the musician poses at the Port Authority Garage in Brooklyn, New York. The campaign’s creative director, Alex Wiederin of Buero New York says, “This season we tapped Florrie to embody the Vigoss woman: Her beauty, sweetness and vibrancy made working with her a pleasure. She has such a powerful presence and her musicality shines through.”
Shine Bright – Actress Mila Kunis has been tapped as the new Global Brand Ambassador of gemstone producer Gemfields. Mila also appears in a campaign for the brand which was photographed by Mario Sorrenti and styled by Anastasia Barbieri. The campaign features an almost clean-faced Kunis wearing oa ne-of-a-kind emerald and ruby jewelry created by six of Gemfields’ designer partners. “I truly believe in Gemfields’ mission of ethical mining, and I absolutely have fallen in love with the rarity, beauty and history of emeralds,” says the actress.
In Neutral – Kati Nescher lands the spring 2013 campaign from Italian label Max Mara. Lensed by Mario Sorrenti, the German beauty rocks neutral hues with safari-inspired oversized shapes. Handbags of the season stand out in two or three-tones.
