Bassike Fall – Australian label Bassike focuses on fabric development for its fall-winter 2014 collection. The fabrics were milled in Italy featuring materials like felt-wool, bonded leather, heavy cashmeres and merino wools. Silhouettes this season are relaxed and slouchy in a subdued color palette of rose quartz, deep navy, black and charcoal. The fall line fuses feminine and boyish styles with boxy shoulders, high collars and slouchy pants.
Rossi’s Artisan Sandals – Italian shoe label Sergio Rossi finds inspiration in the early seventies for its spring 2014 collection presented last week during Milan Fashion Week. Here we have a preview of the new season which focuses on sandals made with bold and eclectic prints. Gladiator, sculptural and boot-style sandals have an earthy color palette with leaf, wood and zebra print details.
Sizzling Femininity – Spanish lingerie label Andres Sarda taps Hana Jirickova for its fall-winter 2013 collection. The rising star has appeared on multiple international Vogue covers and now poses for Txema Yeste in sexy styles for the new season. Styled with clear, see-through coats, Hana shows off her seductive side in romantic bedroom looks ranging from lacy bra and underwear sets to dazzling one pieces. Sigrid Models September – Top model Sigrid Agren is the latest star of Massimo Dutti, starring in the Spanish label’s September lookbook. Gemma Edo photographs the French-Swedish model in fall essentials including heavy knits, fur-trimmed coats, wool pants and mens-cut blazers. Sigrid looks casually elegant in the new style book images.
Folk Tale – Free People gets ready for fall with a new lookbook titled, “Folk Tale”. The images star Danish model Gertrud Hegelund wearing ultra-bohemian looks that mix a prints and patterns as well as heirloom laces and casual cotton. The blonde also dons suede and soft leather paired with boots, wide brimmed hats and chunky jewelry in the style snaps.
Ronson’s Gamine Girl – Charlotte Ronson found inspiration in the French gamine for her eponymous label’s spring 2014 collection. Evoking imagery of Jean-Luc Goddard’s 1960 film “Breathless”, the new season offers a demure outing of Peter Pan Collars, graphic prints and flared pants. Although the Ronson woman gets tomboyish in short overalls and moto jackets, she still finds her femininity in skin-baring cutouts and floral print dresses with modest hemlines. Spring is for the well-traveled girl; fitting in with the streets of Paris, New York or London.
Blonde Bombshells – Models Tessa and Kalli star as fictional rock goddesses The Blonde Belles in Steve Madden’s latest lookbook. In worn denim apparel, motorcycle boots, and sexy high heels, the models embody the rock star spirit. Stylist Khalym Schell put together their tough girl looks with shoes and other accessories from Steve Madden’s fall 2013 collection. Pierre Balmain Spring – For its spring 2014 collection, Pierre Balmain found inspiration in the rebellious punk spirit of the seventies with an outing of rock essentials including lots of leather, stockings and lace. Andreea Diaconu, who fronted the fall campaign for the brand, models the look book; exuding a downtown chic that is at once sexy and daring. Motorcycle jackets, tops with mesh detailing and short dresses with form-fitting silhouettes are the standout looks of spring.
Kenzo x Vans F/W 2013 Blue Lightning Authentic
Sneaker Time – Kenzo debuts its fifth collaboration with shoe brand Vans for the fall-winter 2013 season. The new collection features three key patterns–Tiger, Cloud and Lightening styles in varying hues. The prices for the sneakers are about $125.00 and are out now in Kenzo stores, Opening Ceremony, Colette and other select retailers. Styles for the shoes include the traditional Vans slip-on and Vans Authentic styles and also a new shape for Kenzo, the Vans Chukka.
Erin Fetherston Spring – Designer Erin Fetherston’s eponymous label embraces romantic fantasy for the spring 2014 season. Fetherston was inspired by the vision of a garden party for her latest outing of flirty silhouettes and feminine colors. Dresses are maxi length, embellished with lace and organza embroideries while the shorter hemlines are light and bouncy; shaped with ruffles and a-line skirts. With a dreamy color palette of creamy white, poppy and zinnia; the Fetherston woman no doubt embraces her feminine and girly side for spring.
