Neo-Classic Couture – For Chanel’s spring 2013 haute couture collection, creative director Karl Lagerfeld went for a neo-classical look featuring the houses’s signature tweeds with glittering sequin detailing. The press kit images, also photographed by Lagerfeld, star model Marte Mei Van Haaster in elongated silhouettes and embroidered patterns.
Versailles Luxury – Inspired by 18th century French aristocracy, the cruise 2013 collection from Chanel holds on to that luxe influence for new campaign images starring Saskia de Brauw and Cara Delevingne. Creative director Karl Lagerfeld lenses the pair in a gold and opulent boudoir setting showcasing the cruise season’s voluminous, pleated skirts and tweed jackets.
The Lightness of Spring – Model Stef van der Laan is tapped for Chanel’s spring 2013 press kit images featuring designer Karl Lagerfeld’s own take on boleros and “dress-skirts”. A color palette of black, white and dreamy pastels set the tone for the new season which plays with proportions and shapes. Tweed jackets are accessorized with ivory pearls either in the shape of jewelry or embroidered detailing. The Chanel woman’s outfit is complete with two-tone sandals and petite handbags.
Tweed Touch – The fall 2012 eyewear campaign from Chanel stars French actress and director Maïwenn, lensed by Karl Lagerfeld. Maïwenn wears minimal makeup with undone hair in the studio portraits showcasing a focus on tweed. Each eyewear style features tweed bands in five shades including authentic green, British brown, iconic black and white and deep blue. The new eyewear collection is available this October in Chanel boutiques.
Lagerfeld Couture – Numéro taps current Karl Lagerfeld muses Lindsey Wixson and Edie Campbell for the publication’s September issue showcasing the new fall haute couture collections. Black and White by Karl – After taking a look at backstage images last week, here is a preview of Karl by Karl Lagerfeld’s fall 2012 campaign starring Saskia de Brauw, Sui He and Anja Rubik (not pictured). The girls were photographed by Lagerfeld in black clad ensembles alongside male model Baptiste Giabiconi.
Chanel Style – Saskia de Brauw returns as the face of Chanel’s fall 2012 campaign and is joined by fellow models Stella Tennant, Kati Nescher, Cora Emmanuel and Lindsey Wixson (unpictured) in the studio images shot by Karl Lagerfeld. Captured by creative director Karl Lagerfeld, the brunette is striking in tweeds, crystal embellishments and classic silhouettes from the “New Vintage” collection. Karl’s Girls – Anja Rubik, Saskia de Brauw and Sui He are set to appear in Karl by Karl Lagerfeld’s fall 2012 campaign photographed by Lagerfeld himself. These behind the scenes images captured by photographer Olivier Saillant showcase the trio as they go from hair and makeup to on the set. The upcoming advertisements also star male model Baptiste Giabiconi.
Fendi Face – Joan Smalls is quickly becoming a Lagerfeld favorite after appearing in the spring campaign of Chanel, and now, the fall 2012 advertisements from Fendi both shot by Karl Lagerfeld. Evoking Fendi’s Italian heritage, Lagerfeld captured Joan near olive and cypress trees in Chiant, Italy for the autumn campaign styled by Charlotte Stockdale. (WWD)
