The Lady in Black – Leading lady Julianne Moore shows off her seductive side for the latest issue of Net-a-Porter’s weekly online magazine, The Edit. Captured by Paola Kudacki and styled by Lori Goldstein, the sultry redhead impresses in a dress from Vera Wang, rings by Repossi, lingerie from L’Agent by Agent Provocateur and more. Talking to the magazine, Moore opens up about her style and being friends with Tom Ford.
On style at a certain age:
“After a certain age, you can’t wear anything with words on it. Also, I don’t wear a lot of color because, having red hair, I carry a lot of color with me.” She laughs, “I read a quote from an actress who said, ‘Only wearing black is like not taking chances’, and I was like, ‘I guess I don’t take chances then! I wear a lot of black!’”
Julianne in Givenchy – Actress Julianne Moore attended the world premiere of her new film “Carrie”, held in Hollywood on October 7th. The star opted to wear a white Givenchy gown from the label’s fall 2013 collection designed by Riccardo Tisci. Julianne paired the look with a purse from the label and jewelry from Harry Winston.
Julianne on InStyle – Julianne Moore is the latest cover star of InStyle October, wearing a dress from Calvin Klein Collection and jewelry from Loraine Schwartz. Giampaolo Sgura photographs the American actress for the new issue. The redhead is styled by Melissa Rubini on the cover. Julianne tells the magazine about women getting good roles as they age in Hollywood, “I can’t complain. I’ve been pretty lucky. And I think the more we talk about it, the more we make it real. I hate being asked this stuff! Let’s appreciate where we are. Let’s not wish our lives away.” The new issue of InStyle hits shelves on September 20th.
Julianne in Jason Wu – Julianne Moore looked stunning in black at the premiere of her new film, “Don Jon”, held last night in New York City. The actress opted to wear a dress from Jason Wu’s resort 2014 collection adorned with crystals and featuring a partially sheer top.
Beauty Moment – For its “Collection Privee by Color Riche” campaign, L’Oreal gathered eight faces for a portrait shot by Norman Jean Roy. Actresses Freida Pinto, Julianne Moore, Jane Fonda, Fan Bingbing and Eva Longoria pose with models Liya Kebede, Inès de La Fressange and Doutzen Kroes in the image. The women all wear black dresses and shirts in the striking photograph.
Moore is More – Julianne Moore is the new face of Reed Krakoff, after being enlisted for the brand’s fall 2013 campaign photographed on location at the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in New York. The designer lensed the advertisements himself and the initial preview shows the Academy-Award winning actress looking emotive in a crocodile-print from the autumn collection.
