H&M Does Bridal–Fashion brand H&M has become the go to for fashionistas on a budget, and now the Swedish retailer is hoping brides will even start buying their wedding apparel there. Set to launch in the US later this month online and in stores, H&M has released an image of its first wedding gown that comes in at a whopping $100. The design is inspired by a 1930s Hollywood silhouette and features a gathered waist in white of course. So, would you buy a wedding gown from the fast fashion brand or will you just stick with H&M’s spring 2014 mainline?
The Miranda Factor–Following up the announcement that Miranda Kerr would be the face of its spring 2014 campaign, H&M has released more photos of the Australian beauty. The mom and model looks understated but still gorgeous in a wardrobe of floral prints, lightweight sweaters and pleated tops. Andreea Gets Bohemian for H&M–Following up a video preview, H&M has released its official spring 2014 lookbook featuring Andreea Diaconu. The Romanian model looks easy breezy in the retailer’s bohemian inspired designs which spotlight flowing blouses, fringe accents and eclectic prints. Andreea’s soft curls and understated makeup are the perfect finish to the new season looks. And in case you missed it, check out the H&M Studio fall collection presented during Paris Fashion Week.
H&M Studio Fall 2014–Presenting it’s second runway show during Paris Fashion Week, H&M Studio (the name of H&M’s key seasonal outings) presented a fall-winter 2014 collection which mixes a masculine and feminine mood. Tomboyish biker jackets are juxtaposed with sexy slip dresses and draped tops. Set at the historic Grand Palais, top models hit the runway in fabrics including cashmere knits, velvets and silk satin in slouchy shapes. Mannish outerwear for the season is accented by faux fur. Overall, the collection is very stylish, very trendy, very H&M.
The New Icons–Fashion brand H&M launches “The New Icons” collection for 2014 featuring four all new top models. (Check out the 2013 lineup here.) You may recognize these faces–Sui He, Nadja Bender, Jourdan Dunn and Andreea Diaconu pose in the collection’s nautical stripes, trench coats and bohemian prints in a new campaign taken outdoors. Miranda Lands H&M–Swedish fashion giant H&M revealed the news on Twitter that Miranda Kerr will be the new face of its spring 2014 campaign. This follows Miranda’s winter advertisements for Mango as well as H&M’s previous campaign starring Gisele Bundchen. See a preview of the new campaign above, where Miranda poses in a grey shirt and black skirt paired with strappy sandals.
Spring Style–Following up her appearance in H&M’s Valentine’s Day lingerie shoot, Edita Vilkeviciute is back once again for a new style book from the Swedish retailer. The blonde stunner wears the new spring looks with a casual elegance. Posing in the desert, Edita models in tailored separates including embroidered blouses, knit sweaters and A-line skirts.
Sexy Valentine–Top model Edita Vilkeviciute gets into the Valentine’s Day spirit with this new shoot from H&M. The Lithuanian stunner gets romantic in lace bustiers, push-up bras and boy shorts in the sexy images. H&M Goes Eco-Friendly – Set to launch in February, H&M will launch its first line of clothing featuring recycled textile fibers from garments collected from their Garment Collecting Initiative. The collection features five classic denim pieces made from 20% recycled cotton. This continues H&M’s focus on environmentally friendly designs such as their Conscious Collection which will feature Amber Valletta as the face. “The trend is moving more and more towards working with recycled fabrics and as a designer you of course want to work with the latest trends and developments,” says Jon Loman, the concept designer of the line.
