Saint Laurent Pre-Fall 2014 Girl–Following up her exclusive booking for Saint Laurent’s fall show, Grace Hartzel appears in the brand’s pre-fall 2014 lookbook slash campaign photographed by creative director Hedi Slimane. The brunette fits into Slimane’s aesthetic of slim-fit, rock and roll designs that has been prominent during his term at the French fashion house. For the pre-fall season, there are leather embellished pieces, fur, menswear inspired suiting and metallic accents. Photographed in black and white, Grace gets moody in the tailored looks. Abbey Lee for Saint Laurent–Abbey Lee Kershaw has been pretty quiet on the modeling front since her last appearance for the Gucci fall 2013 advertisements, but the Australian beauty is back for spring 2014 with these new eyewear ads for Saint Laurent. The blonde model posed for creative director Hedi Slimane in a pair of black and white portraits (above) where she dons the new optical styles. FYI, this is Abbey Lee’s very first campaign for the brand.
Saint Laurent’s New Blood – For Saint Laurent’s spring-summer 2014 campaign, creative director Hedi Slimane tapped a cast of new faces. While last season, Saint Laurent got model of the moment Cara Delevingne as its star, this season Slimane photographed models Natalie Westling and Nastya Sten, and Jeff Fribourg for the mens campaign in Los Angeles, California. The images are in black and white and also accompany a video set to the tunes of “Teenage Girls” by Cherry Glazerr.
Sky by Hedi – Sky Ferreira teams up with Hedi Slimane once again for a series of promotional images shot with her upcoming album in mind. The Saint Laurent designer and 20 year-old pop star collaborated together on Saint Laurent’s pre-fall 2013 lookbook previously. The blonde beauty appears natural yet flirtatious with a fresh-faced look by makeup artist Amy Chance (Bernstein & Andriulli) and tousled tresses by hair stylist Christian Marc.
Saint Laurent Resort – Hedi Slimane enlists Sasha Pivovarova for Saint Laurent’s resort 2014 lookbook. Photographed by the creative director, Sasha impresses in black and white images featuring the new collection. This season we see a lot of leather, sheer and sequin materials balanced out with slim-cut jackets and pants. Resort juxtaposes the hard and soft with Grecian inspired cuts in hard leather. Cara for Saint Laurent – The fall 2013 campaign from Saint Laurent enlists British It Girl and model Cara Delevingne for a series of moody images, photographed by Creative Director Hedi Slimane. A New Tradition – American model Karlie Kloss gets decked out in a wardrobe of all Saint Laurent for Vogue Japan’s June issue. The beauty poses for the label’s Creative Director Hedi Slimane in a mix of slim-fitted pants, billowing gowns and glittering jackets. George Cortina styles Karlie for the understated studio shoot where she dons red lips and a chic bob.
The Saint Laurent Wave – American beauty Karlie Kloss gets yet another Vogue cover with the June 2013 edition of Vogue Japan. The leading model poses for Hedi Slimane in a look he designed for Saint Laurent’s spring collection. Wearing a gold embellished jacket with a large embellished bow and ruffled top, Karlie gets bohemian glam in the studio image.
Two Stars – For its April issue, Interview Germany taps actress Diane Kruger and singer Sky Ferreira for two covers photographed by Markus Jans and Hedi Slimane respectively. Kruger says on her turn from model to actress, “I was far too unhappy to carry on as a model. I kept telling myself: How can you possibly be this unhappy at 22?” Ferreira also opens up to Interview about her modeling, “I always thought I was ugly. People tell me that to my face: ‘Sky, you’re not pretty, but you look good in a different way. Like a cute zombie.’”
