Fendi Favorite – Anja Rubik reappears for the third consecutive season as the face of Fendi with the label’s fall 2011 campaign. Captured by Karl Lagerfeld, Anja goes brunette in lush fur and a watercolor-esque setting. (TFS)
Inspired by German artist Kurt Schwitters, Fendi’s fall 2011 collection was a story of layering with fur vests, wool separates and even tulle sleeves. Designers Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Venturini sent models down the runway in a subdued color palette of navy, tan and gray with pops of orange and yellow accents.
As with many campaigns this season, Fendi’s spring 2011 campaign follows in the footsteps of fall 2010 with Anja Rubik in a picturesque setting akin to a work of art. Photographed by Karl Lagerfeld, the Fendi woman isn’t afraid of bold colors or dramatic shapes for the spring as shown by these uniquely stunning images.
Approaching the spring season with a refined mix of voluminous silhouettes paired with tailored separates, Fendi brings a certain casualness to its latest showing. Not afraid to play with color or shape, the new season gives birth to exaggerated sleeves and a crisp color palette including orange, navy and teal.
