Freja x Reserved – Danish model Freja Beha Erichsen is tapped for the fall 2013 lookbook from Reserved. The Polish brand will also feature the Maybelline beauty in their upcoming advertisements. As for the style book images, Freja sports three trends of the autumn season–military inspired, grunge and wild chic prints and furs. The brunette’s rock ‘n’ roll attitude shines through all the looks ranging from cozy knits to understated plaid shirts.
Interview With a Vampire – American label For Love & Lemons taps leading model Anna Selezneva for its fall 2013 campaign. The images highlight the gothic inspiration of the fall season with a shoot appropriately titled, “Interview With a Vampire”. In the set, the Russian-born beauty travels from library to stony facade in dark looks featuring lacework, sheer materials and sexy cuts. Stella’s Guide – For her fall 2013 campaign, British designer Stella McCartney heads to the streets of London for an everyday look at the autumn season. The boxy silhouettes and menswear inspired tailoring of fall is worn by models Suvi Koponen and Chiharu Okunugi. Mert & Marcus photographed the duo submerged in a pool in addition to the fashion capital’s pathways.
Three Beauties – Fashion brand Joie enlists fashion stars Julia Restoin Roitfeld, Poppy Delevingne and Anouck Lepère for its fall 2013 campaign. The advertisements were photographed by Alasdair McLellan and styled by Julia von Boehm in the romantic atmosphere of New York’s Gramercy Park, evoking 1920s glam. The trio impresses in the brand’s A-line shift dresses and lace detailing in pale tones. “Our concept has always been casual, comfortable, and luxurious, with each of these women embodying that idea,” says the brand’s CEO and Creative Director Serge Azria. Cinematic Fall – After appearing in the brand’s previous advertisements, Malgosia Bela returns for another season as the face of Alexander Wang’s fall 2013 campaign. The Polish model once again poses for Steven Klein, this time in a dramatic black and white image with a cinematic effect. Camilla Nickerson from Vogue US worked as stylist on the shoot while creative direction was left to Pascal Dangin. Escape from the City – Karmen Pedaru is back once again for the fall 2013 Michael Kors advertisements photographed on location in New York City. Mario Testino lensed the Estonian model alongside Simon Nessman wearing cool shades, glam dresses and square bags for the campaign which depicts a jet-setting couple getting ready to take off and land in a helicopter. “We wanted the campaign to reflect the ‘bright lights, fast city’ inspiration of the Fall collection. It conveys an attitude of speed, endurance and glamour in sporty-chic silhouettes and electric colors,” says Kors.
Backstage Glamour – For its fall 2013 campaign, Emporio Armani wanted to capture the atmosphere of backstage at a runway show, and enlisted Craig McDean to shoot models Jacquelyn Jablonski, Ruby Aldridge, Esther Heesch and Anabela Belikova on location in New York City. The images capture the season’s 1930s inspired silhouettes and jewel-toned hues as well as the bedazzled accessories of autumn.
Playing it Straight – Vanessa Axente is the new face of Calvin Klein, following previous stars Suvi Koponen and Lara Stone in the fall 2013 campaign. The black and white studio images were photographed by Mert & Marcus. The Hungarian model dons the autumn season’s sleek and minimal designs with a mussed updo and fresh-faced beauty.
Focus on Shoes – For his fall-winter 2013 campaign, shoe designer Rupert Sanderson found inspiration in Eastern culture ranging from Japanese kimonos to Lalique glassware. The images, photographed by Eddie Wrey and styled by Tamara Rothstein, were shot on location at the Mayfair Japanese restaurant, Sake No Hana. “This season’s campaign really gives a razor sharpness and to a collection inspired by a modern and dark Japan. I was thinking Kill Bill and elaborate Japanese bondage techniques,” says Sanderson about the autumn advertisements.
