Lover in New York – Australian brand Lover launches its first ever campaign starring the iconic Karen Elson. The British model is a favorite of the industry’s top photographers and is also a talented musician in her own right. Lina Scheynius photographed the redhead on film in New York City for the new advertisements which feature the “Chorus” collection of ultra-feminine lace dresses.
Andreea’s Moment – A star on the rise, Romanian model Andreea Diaconu has worked with many top fashion magazines and brands this season. And now the brunette beauty is the face of Adolfo Dominguez’s fall 2013 campaign. Lensed by Karim Sadli and styled by Jonathan Kaye, Andreea is the very image of refinement in the Spanish label’s tailored outerwear and knits.
Forward Thinking – Sasha Pivovarova gets enlisted for the fall 2013 campaign from New York-based label Proenza Schouler. The Russian model was photographed by David Sims for the new advertisements with a digital rendition of birds juxtaposed against autumn’s sleek and modern designs. Check out the official campaign video below which features Sasha, cockatoos and cosmic imagery.
Luxe Fall – Spanish label Pedro del Hierro Madrid taps Valerija Kelava for its fall 2013 campaign. The studio images were snapped by Lachlan Bailey and highlight the elegant designs featuring dramatic capes, colorful floral prints, fitted trousers and menswear inspired outerwear. The Slovenian model is the very picture of luxe with understated hair and makeup.
A Guide to Prep – Tommy Hilfiger is back once again with a cast of eclectic characters for its fall 2013 campaign, lensed by Craig McDean. Models Jacquelyn Jablonski, Bernard Fouquet, Chloe Blackshire, Arthur Kulkov, Julia Hafstrom, Lea Sorensen, Toni Garrn, Thomas Gledhill, Kim D, Sacha M’Baye, Tidiou M’Baye, Viggo Jonasson, Tian Yi, Sasha Luss, Cora Emmanuel, Katya Riabinkina, Benjamin Eidem, RJ King and Marlon Teixeira give their best preppy impression in college chic designs styled by Karl Templer. “The heart of The Hilfigers campaigns is all about storytelling, and this season we really tried to take it to the next level,” said Trey Laird, Laird + Partners Chief Executive and Creative Officer.
Give Me My Aldo – For its fall 2013 campaign, shoe brand Aldo taps a group of its past faces and some new ones with a lively set shot by Terry Richardson. Models Lily Donaldson, Jourdan Dunn, Jessica Stam, Ming Xi, Anais Pouliot, Florian Van Bael and Mathias Lauridsen get front and center for the studio snaps. “This season we stripped everything down to the essentials. We wanted the product to speak for itself so we brought it to the forefront of the campaign where it belongs,” explains Douglas Bensadoun, Creative Director – Vice President, Marketing for Aldo.
Fine Fall – Alexander McQueen keeps it simple for its fall 2013 campaign where it lets the clothes tell the story with a set of black and white studio images shot by David Sims. British model Edie Campbell is the star of the autumn advertisements featuring designs with a divine inspiration ranging from Catholicism to the Virgin Queen, Elizabeth I. The pearl-adorned bodices and opulent face guards are given full attention in the striking photographs.
Body by Calvin – After sharing the news in May, we have a look at the fall 2013 Calvin Klein Underwear campaign starring supermodel Christy Turlington. The American beauty was photographed by Mario Sorrenti in a set of black and white images that are as elegant as they are sensual. Can you believe that Christy shot her first Calvin Klein campaign in 1988? Twenty plus years later, and she remains as beautiful as ever!
Work in Progress – Starring as the face of Celine for the third consecutive season in a row, Daria Werbowy appears perfectly candid in snaps by Juergen Teller. The Canadian model dons the raw glamour of the autumn season featuring plaid prints, eastern-inspired cuts and bold bags. Posing against kitschy patterns and stonework, the minimal designs of fall serve as a stark contrast to the colorful backdrops.
The Kershaw Comeback – Australian model Abbey Lee Kershaw took a break from modeling to act in the upcoming “Mad Max: Fury Road” film. We have seen her in a few things this past year, but what better way to make her official return than star in the fall 2013 campaign from Gucci? The alluring beauty trades in her previously blonde locks for black tresses in the studio images shot by Mert & Marcus which also feature male model Adrien Sahores. The dark look reminds us of Rooney Mara in “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” complete with leather, autumn shades and a slick coif.
