AD/BC – Australian label Ksubi gets inspired by religious iconography for its autumn-winter 2013 collection. The lookbook images, which star Montana Cox and male model Vinnie Woolston, were photographed by Darren McDonald in a French chateau. The pair wears flame prints, stamped velvet and rich embroidery with leather, gold and stud detailing evoking a Baroque style. Autumn gets casual with light denim washes and simple tees.
Ellery in Paris – Kim Noorda stars as the face of Ellery’s resort 2011 campaign shot by Darren McDonald. Under creative direction from designer Kym Ellery, Kim takes to Paris for the summer with designs inspired by David Hockney’s 1963 painting–”The Second Marriage”. Muted hues and structured silhouettes are complemented by mussed tresses by Romina Manenti and understated makeup by Tiina Roivainen.
The Girl Within – Fashion editor Clare Byrne pieces together a wardrobe of sleek, loose-fitting garments for the latest cover shoot from Fallen Magazine. Starring Sarah Stephens lensed by Darren McDonald, the outdoor images take on the designs of Ksubi, Acne, Burberry Prorsum and others for an emotional effect.
Ali Carr plays the role of modern day cow girl for the August edition of Oyster. Donning denim based looks styled by Paul Bui, Ali gets ready for life on the frontier in an array of garments from the likes of Celine, Alexander Wang and Louis Vuitton. In front of Darren McDonald’s lens, Ali is a true pioneer in this rustic spread.
