After a runway show of mass proportions and bright colors, the spring 2011 campaign from Jil Sander once again enlists Willy Vanderperre to a shoot a campaign that uses lighting to its advantage. Featuring Daria Strokous, the advertisements place focus on the collection’s striped accessories and bold palette.
Taking a look at the fall collections, Vogue US enlists Steven Meisel to capture a woodsy and imagery laden story with Universal Coverage. Styled by Marie-Amelie Sauvé and starring Sasha Pivovarova, Caroline Trentini, Christina Kruse, Daria Strokous and Mirte Maas, the ten page spread features the season’s best coats from the likes of Burberry, Marc Jacobs and Prada.
Despite being a campaign of many models, the absolute standout of Prada’s fall advertisements is Angela Lindvall. Surrounded by the moody crowd of Daria Strokous, Valerija Kelava, Miranda Kerr and others, Angela sings her heart out in front of Steven Meisel’s lens as she dons the brand’s kitsch dresses and accessories.
Finally, after a week full of campaign previews we get to see a look at one of the most highly anticipated campaigns–Prada by Steven Meisel. Starring the always charming Angela Lindvall beside Mathias Bergh, the image takes us inside a swanky club where model couples featuring Daria Strokous, Valerija Keleva and others cozy up on the dance floor.
For the latest edition of Playing Fashion, beauty comes in the form of cover girl Daria Strokous as she contrasts soft and airy ensembles with a defiant countenance lensed by Maxim Repin. With hair and makeup by Elena Ivanova-Tagirova, the three page story mixes shadow and light to create the perfect mood.
