Luxury Eyewear – Supermodel Linda Evangelista makes a triumphant return as she models the latest Chanel eyewear collection for the label’s spring campaign, photographed by Karl Lagerfeld. Rocking a super sleek slicked back do’ and bold makeup, Linda channels the 80′s in graphic black and white outfits teamed with the colorful frames.
La Prima Donna – Ginta Lapina is princess perfect in Chanel jackets for the April cover shoot of Vogue Mexico, shot by Nagi Sakai. Paired with other labels such as Givenchy, Sportmax and Roberto Cavalli, fashion editor Sarah Gore Reeves gives the ladylike outerwear a youthful twist. Chanel’s Crystal Fall – Always known for its elaborate sets, the fall 2012 collection from Chanel made its debut against a backdrop of oversize crystals. The crystal theme was in fact a major motif of the autumn collection with models donning icy eyebrows, raised crystal patterns and lucite shoes paired with translucent heels. A dark color palette of ash grey, black, violet and burgundy steeped the new season in autumn hues. Wool coats in loose-fitting shapes dominated the showing as did leggings sometimes layered underneath skirts. For the final looks, designer Karl Lagerfeld introduced feathers and glittering accents for a touch of evening wear glamour.
The Jacket – The February issue of Harper’s Bazaar Spain shows nine different ways to wear a Chanel jacket with Nagi Sakai’s dynamic studio images. Model Alina Baikova pulls out her best moves in elegantly chic ensembles selected by Juan Cebrian. Skyline Couture – Karl Lagerfeld appeared to be inspired by air travel and stewardess uniforms for Chanel’s spring 2012 haute couture collection presented earlier today. The Grand Palais was transformed into the interior of an airplane with models walking down the aisles in elongated silhouettes and extended shoulder winged sleeves. Playing up the jetsetter theme, blue was a dominate hue for spring with sky blue, sapphire and navy all making an appearance. Amid the blue display, there is crystal beading, drop pocket dresses and pleated skirts.
Sporty Chanel – Saskia de Brauw and Joan Smalls get some outdoor activity for the spring 2012 campaign from luxury label Chanel. Captured by the label’s creative director Karl Lagerfeld, the duo hits the beach wearing lightweight dresses and outerwear in these classically styled images shot at the Hôtel du Cap Eden Roc.
