Emma Wears Chanel–Actress Emma Stone attended the Berlin premiere of her new film, “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” and opted for a multi-colored dress with an embellished top from Chanel’s pre-fall 2014 collection. Earlier this week, we saw Emma keep it demure in Valentino for the Italian premiere and this look, while not so understated, is certainly ladylike. For beauty, Emma went retro with pinned up curls and a smokey eye. Her shoes are Christian Louboutin.
Chanel’s Timepieces–Fashion house Chanel has released a new campaign for its L’instant Watches. The advertisements star Jac Jagaciak, Fei Fei Sun and Sharam Diniz. The images, photographed by Patrick Demarchelier, juxtapose product shots of the watches with the models in elegant poses and ready-to-wear styled by Carine Roitfeld. Keira and Chanel Reunited–Face of Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle fragrance since 2007, Keira Knightley, re-ups for a new advertising campaign this spring. The scent will feature a print advertisement (above) and television commercial spot. Photographed by Mario Testino, the British actress who says she doesn’t get Twitter, stars in a glamorous video set to debut on televisions this April. Keira appears sexy and mysterious in the film where she toys with a captivated suitor set to the tunes of The Zombies’ “She’s Not There”.
Throwback Chanel–Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington are the epitome of the 90s era supermodels, and in our latest edition of Throwback Thursday, we take a look back at the pair in Chanel’s spring-summer 1991 advertisements. Photographed by Karl Lagerfeld, the duo serves nineties chic wearing bold colors, short hair and pleated blouses. Today, Linda and Christy are still in demand with Linda starring in a Chanel eyewear campaign as recent as 2012. And Christy has also been doing well for herself–posing in Calvin Klein underwear ads in her 40s.
Chanel Fall 2014–Set against a backdrop of a supermarket complete with a fruits, canned goods and a liquor aisle, the fall-winter 2014 collection from Chanel takes on luxury consumerism in an age of casual style. Continuing where the spring couture show left off, Karl Lagerfeld presented another high fashion take on the sneaker shoe. This time the models hit the catwalk in colorful sneakers adorned with tweed as well as versions in knee-high lengths. Handbags also bring a luxurious spin to grocery store items. Mini shopping baskets featuring locks with Chanel logos and chains changeover to quilted bags packaged like meat you would find in the frozen section. As for the clothes, there is a balance of luxury and a sporty vibe. Tops feature cinched waists paired with slouchy trousers in metallic fabric or tweed.
Chanel Haute Couture Spring 2014–For Chanel’s spring-summer 2014 haute couture show, creative director Karl Lagerfeld presented a sporty version of evening wear complete with athletic accessories including knee and arm pads, fanny packs as well as silver sneakers. Despite the more casual influence, the runway presentation was not short on glamorous style. Embroidered tweed, sculpted corsets and lace chiffon in diaphanous silver and pearly shades were the focus of spring haute couture. Some of the winning looks perfect for red carpet season included lean, column style gowns in glimmering light blue, pink or silver hues.
Keira Wears Chanel – Attending the Los Angeles premiere of her new film “Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit” on January 15th, actress Keira Knightley went for a demure look in a white and navy Chanel dress paired with bow detailing. As a face of Chanel, the starlet also wore the label for her recent Harper’s Bazaar UK cover story. Keira paired the look with black shoes and a messy updo.
Chanel’s Spring Campaign – The spring-summer 2014 campaign from Chanel has been revealed, and the new advertisements featuring rising stars Lindsey Wixson and Sasha Luss. This marks Sasha’s first Chanel campaign while it is Lindsey’s second. Photographed by Karl Lagerfeld, the pair wears the bright color palette of spring along with matching hairdos consisting of sheared cuts with bow accessories.
Rhinestone Cowgirl – Following up the runway show last week, Chanel has released its pre-fall 2014 press kit starring Ashleigh Good. The blonde, who has appeared in multiple campaigns for the French brand including the current cruise advertisements, poses for Karl Lagerfeld in sepia-toned images. Ashleigh does her best cowgirl chic impression in tweed jackets, denim, south-western inspired prints and jewelry, and even shimmering embroideries.
Chanel Pre-Fall 2014 – For it’s pre-fall 2014 collection, Chanel went west, the southwest that is–with a rodeo-themed runway set for a show titled, Paris-Dallas Métiers d’Art. The news broke early today that Kristen Stewart would front the campaign for the season shot by Karl Lagerfeld. As for the clothing, Lagerfeled channeled romantic elements of the wild west for an elegant outing including ponchos, feathered headdresses and prairie skirts. The Chanel woman also embraced the more rugged elements of the west with sculpted jackets, cowboy boots and fringed bags.
