On the Block – BCBG by Max Azria was dominated by color blocking for its fall 2012 runway show presented during New York Fashion Week on Thursday. Relaxed and slouchy silhouettes brought an elegant ease to the catwalk with models donning a variety of hues ranging from electric blue to eye-popping coral grounded in neutrals. Accented by furs and geometric prints, the fall collection is tailored for a woman who longs for luxury without any over the top thrills.
Candy Couture – Elie Saab presented a romantic collection of ivory and pastel hues of powder blue, rose and wheat for his spring 2012 haute couture show in Paris earlier today. Known for designing many red carpet creations, this season had its fair share of Oscars ready fare ranging from crystal embellished floor length gowns to leafy prints in mint green. The delicate showing also offered ladylike lace works and sequined paillettes for a sweetly refined take on couture.
