Fabienne – Dutch designer Peet Dullaert embraces aristocratic style with a shock of bold shapes and patterns for his eponymous label’s spring 2013 collection. The classic refinement of cocktail dresses and pantsuits gives way to crystal embroideries, graphic prints and bright colors. Sharp lines and collars evoking the Victorian era are finished with sheer organza inserts and decorated sleeves. A focus on pantsuits and blazers gives a menswear influence to the classic staples. / Photos by Meinke Klein, Styling by Sonny Groo, Hair and Make up by Chiao Li Hsu

Cool by Chloe – Chloe’s offshoot line, See by Chloe, keeps it coolly modern with its resort 2013 collection featuring slouchy shapes and vibrant colors. Modeled by Julia Frauche, the transitional season is inspired by a traveling girl who stops by the Californian deserts in a palette of orange, tan, fuchsia pink and terracotta. Trousers for the season come in a variety of styles ranging from baggy denim to tailored skinnies matched with knits and printed tops. Accessories include maxi-clutch bags, pointed-toe heels and large totes giving a feminine touch to the boyish silhouettes.
Mugler’s Japanese Resort – As creative director Nicola Formechetti and designer Sébastien Peigné look to build a new image for the Mugler brand, the resort 2013 collection offers a cohesive outing of streetwear looks with a strong Japanese influence. Structured silhouettes in a color palette of white, red, grey, black and powder pink set the tone for the new season with a futuristic direction. Founder Madeleine Vionnet’s Intarsio techniques can be seen in the resort collection with Grecian style dresses and drapey fabrics of double silk georgette, techno-cady and silk jersey on full display. The transitional season offers suit jackets, jumpers and crêpe de chine outerwear for a focus on daywear looks. The Croces also embrace color with floral prints and gradient patterns in delightful shades of lilac, blush, tangerine and orchid pink.
Williamson’s Prints Princess – Inspired by the work of artist Mat Collishaw and German furniture designer Judith Seng, Matthew Williamson focuses on natural and geometric prints for his resort 2013 collection. Using a simple silhouette perfect for layering or adornment, the transitional season offers thoroughly modern looks in coral, chartreuse, lavender and marmalade hues. Williamson also embraces street wear looks in the form of tailored pants adorned with abstract patterns and leather biker jackets. For evening wear, dresses are embellished using Swarovski crystals and metal work as well as draping and fringe detailing.
