Hobo Chic – Russia’s SnC Magazine takes hobo style to the extreme with its new “Homeless Fashion” feature. Svetlana Kudina stars in the fashion editorial wearing shabby chic clothes selected by stylist Baryshnikov Mikae. Mikae pairs the designer garb from labels including Tommy Hilfiger, Dior, and Chanel with tin foil hats and garbage bag bows for playful hobo looks. Home-grown photographer Nikolay Biryukov snapped the quirky images for the Russian glossy. / Production by Nat Arhipova.
Gorgeous in Grunge – New York based photographer Manolo Campion captured Louise Parker on his home turf for Elle Australia’s recent “Rebel Rebel” fashion feature. The Minnesota-born model posed near Grand Central Station and on the Big Apple’s busy streets for the spread. Grunge apparel selected by stylist Heathermary Jackson and bold plum lips by makeup artist Tracy Alfajora give Louise the right amount of rebellious edge. / Hair by Conrad Coman
All Covered Up – Fashion Magazine salutes the luxury of fur apparel with the “Passing Time” feature of its November 2013 edition. Luxuriating in her surroundings, Alina Baikova poses in beautiful fur coats selected by stylist Zeina Esmail. Jed Root Inc. duo Domingo Quintero and Lisa Aharon took care of the Ukrainian beauty’s hair and make-up respectively for the Chris Nicholls-photographed story. / Retouching and color work by Lorca Moore
Pop Princess – Graphic prints and strong colors help Franzi Mueller pop in the October edition of Cover Magazine. Stylist Emilie Guldbrandsen selected the head-turning apparel for the Danish glossy’s “Pop Club” feature. Mette Thorsgaard took care of the German model’s hair and makeup to help her look her best for Danish photographer Jonas Bie.
Vintage Inspiration – Ros Georgiou looks like a beauty from the 1920s rather than a modern-day model in this clever fashion feature for RIKA magazine. The Greek glamour girl wears new season apparel from high-end designers like Chanel, Bottega Venetta, and Celine. But the vintage inspired treatment of Alexx and Anton’s photographs, gives the images an old-world charm. Alexx and Anton also took charge of the shoot’s styling, while Jürgen Schabes took control of casting. / Image Retouch by 100 Berlin Creative Retouching
Pretty in Plaid – Frida Gustavsson shows the playful side of plaid in the October 2013 edition of Vogue China magazine. The Swedish model rocks new season checked apparel from big names like Tommy Hilfiger, Dior, and 3.1 Phillip Lim, all selected by stylist Bobette Cohn. A cute pixie cut from hairstylist Ward and minimalist makeup from Mariel Barrera complete these fun, flirty looks. Acclaimed fashion photographer Greg Kadel snapped Frida against a stark white background to make the model and her plaid attire pop. Nails by Alicia Torello
A look from J.W. Anderson’s spring 2014 collection
Anderson at Loewe – Irish designer J.W. Anderson has been named as the new creative director at Spanish brand Loewe. This comes right after the news that LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton has funded his namesake label. Anderson launched his label in 2008, and at 29 years-old he has been slated as a young designer to watch for a few years now. Loewe is known for its leather goods with past campaign stars featuring Penelope Cruz, Mariacarla Boscono and Kate Moss. (NYT)
Snowfall – For the latest edition of Swedish Magazine, DV Mode, fashion model Martina Dimitrova poses in the snow for photographer Fredrik Wannerstedt. Styled by Lars-Fredrik Svedberg, the platinum blonde dons all-white styles including cozy parkas, luxe furs and metallic accents fit for a snow queen. Hair and makeup artist Sandra Öjeland gives Martina a retro glam beauty look with red lips and a curled coif.
Girlishly Glam – Alaina Mitchell and Sara Schmidt channel fame-obsessed teens in this Bling Ring inspired beauty feature for Marie Claire China. Photographer Amber Gray captures the playful images for the feature that celebrates Sofia Coppola’s latest film and the unbelievable true story that inspired it. Makeup artist Akkiko Sakamoto used cosmetics from M.A.C, Chanel, Maybelline and Givenchy to create the models’ flirty feminine looks. / Styling by Yana Kamps, Hair by Yoichi Tamizawa, Nails by Simcha Whitehill
