10 Crosby Fall–For his 10 Crosby fall-winter 2014 collection, Derek Lam looked to artwork of the 50s and 70s for inspiration. Namely artisanal German pottery called Lava Pottery. The work is noted for its volcanic look and sleek lines as well as abstract decorations. Lam took this influence and gave an arty finish to the upcoming fall by reinterpreting a smock as a crop top or reinventing the classic black pant with patchwork pockets. The color palette also has an eclectic vibe with a variety of shades including dijon, indigo and aubergine sometimes in an ombre effect.
10 Crosby Resort – A continuation of the line’s fall collection, the resort 2014 outing from 10 Crosby Derek Lam places an emphasis on textured materials. The 10 Crosby woman dives into the season with a mix of tweed, houndstooth, knitwear and coated outerwear. The resort silhouette embraces a casual yet elegant vibe with a wardrobe of separates including sweat-pant style trousers and a re-envisioned sweatshirt. 10 Crosby also offers a twist on classic prints such as the polka dot or stripe motif.
At 10 Crosby – Derek Lam launches his first diffusion line with 10 Crosby Derek Lam, named after Lam’s corporate office address. The recent lookbook starring Hanne Gaby Odiele, showcases twelve minimal yet stylish looks for the resort season. From flouncy dresses to tailored pants, 10 Crosby brings urban chic to the forefront of pre-spring.
