Cavalli’s Shining Spring – For Roberto Cavalli’s spring 2014 show, the theme was glamour. To be more specific–movie glamour particularly of Hollywood’s golden age served as inspiration for the Italian designer’s runway preview shown during the fourth day of Milan Fashion Week. A color palette of dreamy silver took center stage for the spring season in lightweight chiffon and lace-adorned gowns that are sometimes diaphanous and other times sensual with plunging necklines. When the Cavalli woman is looking for something more rock ‘n’ roll infused, she wears a leather jacket or rolled up trousers decorated with sequins.
