Jean Paul Gualtier Fall/Winter 2014–While last couture season it was all about butterflies, Jean Paul Gaultier’s inspiration took a more ghoulish turn for his fall-winter 2014 haute couture collection. Vampires in fact were the main theme on the catwalk. These well dressed vamps seemed ready for some night prowling with their body-con leather and well-tailored suits. From Victorian lace to black jumpsuits to “Queen of the Damned” gold chains, the Gaultier woman cuts a striking figure as she exudes pure power and sex appeal with her blood-red lips and blocky pompadour hairstyle.
Konichiwa Cowboy–Fusing western and eastern style, the summer issue of Schön Magazine brings a new twist to cowgirl fashions with this editorial captured by Michael Flores. Model Sissi Hou is on her guard for these dynamic shots where she dons looks from the likes of Donna Karan, Missoni and Valentino styled by Kisha C Jones. Sissi keeps it glam all while wielding her weapons of choice which include swords and pistols. / Art direction by Christopher Sollinger, Makeup by Yacine Diallo, Hair by Nicolas Eldin
Emma Wears Valentino–British actress Emma Watson was spotted at Valentino’s fall 2014 couture show at Paris Fashion Week wearing a stunning Valentino Resort 2015 black floral lace double strap crop top with a matching empire waist long skirt. She covered up with a Valentino patent leather biker jacket and added some color with red pumps, also from the brand and a green croc bag by M2Malletier. What do you think Emma’s look?

Valentino Fall/Winter 2014 Haute Couture–Valentino designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli were inspired by a Pre-Raphaelite art for the Italian brand’s fall-winter 2014 collection. While the theme may conjure to mind the dark image of Ophelia, what transpired on the Paris runway was light, airy and undeniably feminine. The demure restraint of the Valentino woman is apparent in the long-sleeve dresses and below-the-knee hemlines in transparent fabrics. Elegant draping and leather accents evoke a Roman goddess look for fall couture while embellished gowns become artworks of their own. Tying into the romantic theme, models showed off long, wavy tresses and nearly-nude faces for the romantic showing.
