    • maybe..just maybe that was his intention! Photography isn't about sticking to the rules. Its about making new ones.

  1. Some of these shots are boring and so typical of bathing suit shots (overhead shot of lounging in shallow water). Then there are ones with great viewpoints, the mixture does not work too well. Maybe a better editing eye would have been better.

  3. If these are so typical..what kind of shoot would you do for swim suits? Lets here all of your "unique" ideas

  4. I adore Steven Meisels work, I really do, but this is not up to his standard. Probably due to the fact that he himself doesn't control the overall process as much as he used to.. I'd be surprised if he even presses the shutter release these days!! As a result the shoot is very mismatched. Stylistically this could be five different shoots. Also some of the shots are really mediocre, as if one of his assistants had shot them.. third to last a point in case. I gave up completely when I hit the smoking shot… this is all over the place. Take back some control Steven, shoot with passion again, this crap feels thrown together as if you've had to go to work and didn't want to.

    Not impressed at all.

  7. Some of these images are epic in their artistry whilst others seem lacklustre and ill-conceived. A game of two halves.
