Clash – Chinese publication ROUGE has proven to have some of the most striking beauty images in fashion, and its new spring issue is no exception to the rule. Photographed by Stockton Johnson with art direction by Antoine Neufmars, models Miao Bin Si and Ma Jing sport daring hues on their eyes with ruby red lips in the stunning portraits.

  1. I disagree with the “overtouched” and “fake” comments. Aside from the make-up (which is part of the the concentration of these photographs) these pictures have a natural and raw feel. It’s beautiful. The vibrant make-up is dramatic and bold but that’s the whole point. It’s masterfully done. I can appreciate it. And “Rupaul’s Drag Race”? C’mon..the models look so delicate with classic feminine bone structure. All in all, I’m a fan.

    • Well I share your opinion. I do a lot of retouche and would say there is only a little bit done (and that is done in every pic), so let it be ;). At some points it’s a little too smooth for my taste but I think it is wanted there.
