Charm School by Marc – The fall 2012 collection of Marc Jacobs’ wearable offshoot line–Marc by Marc Jacobs–featured a parade of school girl inspired ensembles complete with pleated skirts, modest sweaters and no-fuss dresses. The color palette was grounded in traditional colors of black, red, navy and sapphire. Prints ranged from tartan to stripes to floral. For outerwear, Jacobs also played with bulky shapes reminiscent of his mainline show but with a less severe outcome.

Don’t like it. Too messy.
Looks a maternity collection! Sorry!
Funny, I always love LV but rarely like what Marc Jacobs does for his namesake’s label
I am absolutely in love with this collection. I love the use of prints, dense fabrics and subtle use of color. The collared shirts, thick skirts and long jackets are my favorite.
Many of the individual pieces are fantastic but somehow it’s rather underwhelming when it all comes together. Love the beauty on this runway much more than his other show–the smooth skin and poppy-colored lips add a subtle retro touch that complements the scholarly vibe of the pieces really well.
