Back to Black – After last season’s flirtation with scarlet and navy hues, Loewe creative director Stuart Vevers brought it back to black with the label’s fall 2012 presentation. Playing with volume and proportion, the Loewe woman appeared to be in the mood for leather in the form of sumptuous coats and pleated skirts. The theme for the autumn collection was strict ladylike elegance with pops of powder pink and blue in a sea of black. Known for its accessories, Loewe also offered petite clutches and handbags as the purse of choice for fall.

  1. Yeah, they’re so dark it is a little hard to tell what some pieces are like.  And it does seem like some are trying to drape leather, which doesn’t seem like it’s working too well.  But…there are also some really interesting and brilliant new looks for leather.

  2. What’s with these dark runways/backdrops in Paris?!  It’s so difficult to see the clothes!  It looks like there are some nice pieces here, but who can really tell?!
