Half Life – Exploring our relationship with nuclear power, photographer Alvin Nguyen took an unfinished plant in Washington state’s Katsop Development Park for this powerful black and white shoot in the July issue of Papercut Magazine. With model Kelsey Jean Harding’s (DNA NY) exceptional beauty contrasting against the harsh setting, Nguyen’s photos take on an almost dreamlike, Tarkovsky-esque feel. Styled by Alvin Stillwell, Kelsey looks rebelliously modern in the abandoned facility. Make-up by Niko Weddle shows an edgy femininity, while hair stylist Stace Quach contrasts the contemporary with classic, lady like waves and updos. | Assistants – Alan Wang, Tommy O’Brien
