Presenting his ninth couture collection, Giambattista Valli looked to art collector Peggy Guggenheim for inspiration with his fall-winter 2015 Haute Couture runway show. The lineup featured the signature Valli embellishments including ruffles, pleats and floral embroidery galore. Top model Sasha Pivovarova both opened and closed the show—telling the full journey of couture. The Russian model began the lineup with a lean black dress decorated with a half-circle tulle ruffles while she closed the show in a floral top paired with a sweeping frothy skirt. In between, Valli offered up laser-cut outs, 1940s style draping and bow accents for one of his strongest collections yet.
