Donna Karan Spring 2012 | New York Fashion Week

Karan’s Tribal SpringDonna Karan’s wearable and feminine designs get a tribal revamp for her spring 2012 collection shown during New York Fashion Week today. Karan notes that her new collection is inspired by her trips to Haiti–influences can be seen form-fitting silhouettes paired with rustic shades and paint splashed prints. For beauty, the Karan woman sported a slicked back ponytail and dark makeup for the spring season as well as wooden necklaces, hoop skirts and wristbands.

  1. I don’t like it at all – way too tribal for my taste.

And the models look far too severe. :(

  2. I love the slick hair and dark lips.  I think the clothes are gorgeous- Donna’s color palette is incredible, the prints are great and the cuts of the dresses are so sexy.  One of my favorite collections so far.  I originally saw the collection on Style, so the pictures were far smaller and the models looked less severe than they do here (just something to keep in mind).

  3. this is more like a fall/winter collection to me, i also see a bit Prada S/S’11 here

  4. Definitely looks more like a fall collection but there are some REALLY cool things going on here
