Dolce & Gabbana’s Flowers and Gold – For several years now, Dolce & Gabbana designers Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce have found inspiration in Sicily for their ready-to-wear collections and the spring 2014 season is no exception. This time delicate blossoms and gold coins serve as the main focal points of the collection. The gold coins are interesting considering the pair’s recent trouble concerning taxes; perhaps a commentary on the situation? Nevertheless, the Italian designers’ unique take on femininity was on full display for the spring preview with lace embellished tops, fabrics dipped in gold and airy sheers. For accessories, the Dolce & Gabbana woman wears sandals, drop earrings and belts all adorned with the coin motifs.
