D&G’s Grand Farewell – Dolce & Gabbana presented their last collection for the label’s off-shoot line, D&G, during the second day of major shows for Milan Fashion Week. Starting in 1994, the D&G line is most well-known for its colorful prints and audacious themes. The spring 2012 showing was one of its grandest collections yet with printed dresses made of silk, oversize hats, fabric cover wedges and chunky accessories that brought a boost of energy to the catwalk with loud colors and prints.
I pretty much only liked the longer skirts. Otherwise, it just looks cheap.
The strapless dresses are so trashy!
sigh… their last spring season with all the floral was sooo much more beautifulÂ
some of the pieces here look nice, but I think they would be hard to wear with other things
overall, the overload of gaudy print was just too much

I kinda hate it and love it at the same time. Â But I can’t shake the impression that it’s all made of polyester and sold from a bin at a strip mall. Â I guess that’s the enduring legacy of D&G anyhoo — cheap mall imitation.
Looks a lot like (early) Versace to me.

There are SOME pretty thing there… but just pretty. This is going to be the most copied collection of all times! seriously, there are so many things you can DIY with just some cheap scarfs from the market, and you dont need the expensive ones to acheave this looks because they dont look expensive at all!
If there ever was a reason to end D&G, this collection pretty much solidified it.
